Registering a Certified Havana Silk Dog
If your dog is over the age of two, not currently registered as Provisional Certified, but eligible for Certified registration by virtue of his parentage (he is the offspring of two Certified Havana Silk Dogs), you can still submit an application by following the steps below:
1. Go to the "downloadable forms" page, and read the
instruction documents first.
2. Click on the "register an individual dog" form, fill it out,
and hit "print".
3. Mail the completed application, along with copies of
DNA certificate, CHIC Certificate, soaped photos, conformation evaluation with a check made out to HSDAA in the amount of $10 (per dog) to: HSDAA Registration Secretary PO Box 237 Goochland VA 23063 (If you prefer to pay through PayPal, go to www.paypal.com and when it asks what address you wish to send money to, enter havanasilkdog@aol.com. (please add $2 to help defray paypal fees.)
Registering a Provisional Certified Dog:
If your dog is eligible for the HSDAA by virtue of his parentage, but under the age of two, follow steps 1 and 2. The dog will then receive a Provisional Certified registration certificate. When the dog reaches the age of two, documentation to convert to Certified registration will be required within the year.
