DOC BALDWIN BEACH CHARITY EVENT
I want to take this opportunity to advise everyone that our DOC BALDWIN ANNUAL BEACH WALK FOR CHARITY is being renamed. The new name is: DOC BALDWIN BEACH CHARITY EVENT. The reason for changing the name is that it is not planned to be an organized “walk”. It will be up to each person how and where they want to walk or just visit! This change in venue will eliminate the possible need for a permit. Some folks may just want to bring their dogs & visit on the hotel patio. Some may want to walk together on the beach and have the opportunity to take some lovely ocean view sunset photos. Whatever your individual choice is, the important thing is to pay tribute to our beloved friend, Doc Baldwin!
I will be seated on the patio by 5:00pm. I will have a sign in sheet, accept all donations being made to the Joanne Baldwin Memorial Fund and issue a small memento of our first
DOC BALDWIN BEACH CHARITY EVENT.
All freewill donations must be made by check payable to:
The Joanne Baldwin Memorial Fund.
All proceeds will be donated to the fund (organized by Steve Escobar, DVM) to help people who are unable to pay for the medical treatment their dogs need. Steve organized this charity in honor of his dear friend and our own Doc Baldwin! The fund is designed to help those with cancer or other debilitating health issues that cannot pay for their pets’ health care. Doc’s family felt this was the kind of charity Doc would want organized. It helps both those facing the kind of health issues Doc faced, and also the animals to whom she dedicated her career.
I will collect all donations and forward them on to Dr. Escobar. We will recognize all donors in our SILK ROAD. For those unable to attend the National, who wish to make a donation, please send your check to me at: Suzanne LaCosse, 17525 Bonneville Street, Lockport, IL 60441.
This will allow me to send all donations, from HSDAA, at one time to Steve Escobar for Doc’s Memorial Fund.
THANK YOU ALL!!!
